Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums is responsible for nine museums, galleries and heritage sites; two of which are recognised as world heritage sites. We hold collections of international importance in archives, art, science and technology, archaeology, military and social history, fashion and natural sciences.
The Trading Department (based in Discovery Museum, Newcastle) manages the majority of commercial activity for Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums and currently maintains the organisation’s nine venue shops, in addition to the e-commerce offer. All of the money raised through these activities goes to support the organisation’s work.
